Victory Leagues,Temecula's newest basketball leagueUpdated Tuesday March 20, 2018 by Scott Parrott.
Victory Leagues is for athletes who are physically active high functioning but developmentally challenged boys and girls, ages 5- 18 years old.
Our goals are to provide a full league experience for the athletes instead of just a clinic type of scenario. Our planned athletes would be age 5 to 18 years old (depending on interest. Since we want to provide a real team and game experience we are focusing on higher functioning kids. Athletes that would typically be excluded from other team sports due to one or more of the following challenges: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome and/or other mild physical & emotional disabilities.
Games will be organized according to the age of the athlete as described below.
Division 1: Ages 5 to 8 years
Division 2: Ages 9 to 13 years
Division 3: Ages 13 to 18
Most games will utilize the smaller courts in the CRC to run two games at a time. Parents will be used to coach teams we will offer a referee to keep the games moving in a timely manner and a scorekeeper with the clocks running so the athletes know they are playing a real game.
